03
Learn to see

Give it a visual language that's impossible to ignore.

04

Execute at a standard that gets you hired.

  • The core of NEXT is built around a set of principles used by great working art directors. How to develop a point of view. How to find an insight. How to build a big idea and think across a campaign. How to see the world with the visual taste and creative vision that makes your work unmistakable.

  • 4x 90-minute classes over Zoom, plus 4x 30-minute group office hour sessions. All sessions recorded so you never miss a thing.

  • You leave with a campaign-level project built on a repeatable process used by the top creative agencies and brands. Put in the work, and in 30 days, you’ll have a project that can either pivot your existing creative portfolio or establish your new one.

  • Personal critique on your art direction concepts & assignments, plus live Q&A. Not generic advice, feedback on your actual work.

  • A private Slack community with your cohort, a jobs board, and alumni channel. Ask questions, share work, and stay connected with other art directors making the same leap.

  • Every guest speaker session is recorded and yours to keep. Past speakers have come from OpenAI, Amazon, Droga5, and Wieden+Kennedy.

This is for you if…

  • You're a designer, photographer, editor, or content creator ready to level up into art direction.

  • You're a creative who wants to think and lead, not just execute.

  • You the craft skills and want to go deeper on the conceptual side.

  • You're ready to build a standout portfolio project to take your career to the next level.

This is NOT for you if

  • You're looking for a shortcut. This will require work.

  • You have zero making skills or software knowledge

Worth knowing

This course focuses on conceptual art direction, not software or design basics.

The curriculum is built specifically for art direction roles in advertising and brand creative departments. We’ll briefly touch on a few other industries.

Why now?

Execution alone isn’t enough anymore.

Anyone can design. Anyone can edit. Anyone can push pixels or cut a timeline.

What’s rare now is someone who can think.

If you want to lead creative campaigns and projects in this next chapter of the industry, you need to think conceptually. You need to understand the idea behind the work, not just the work itself.

You need to think bigger about your role and your career.

I will teach you the skills of modern art direction and how to think like an art director so you can stop executing someone else's ideas and start shaping the ideas yourself.

I knew I needed a portfolio to unblock a new path, I had absolutely no idea what to do, and i decided to trust my intuition and enrol on the first cohort of a bootcamp in my second language at 10pm. I have NO regrets, the BEST bootcamp for unleashing creativity. No matter what you do at the end, you will end up being a better creative.

I really enjoyed my time in NEXT Art Director. Being surrounded by other aspiring art directors helped me level up creatively, and the exercises strengthened how I approach ideas in general. Even though I’m a UI/UX designer, the principles transferred directly into how I market and position my own app in the App Store.

FAQ

  • Classes will be recorded. Office hours are also provided for timezone flexibility. We've had multiple students join at 2am! Others just watch the recorded classes and then utilize the earlier Office Hours time for Q&A.

  • No. But I recommend it. You’ll need some sort of design software. You can use free software like Affinity, Photopia, AI Image generating tools, or even Adobe Express/Canva.

  • Yes, but I expect you to already have some level of “making skills” or the ambition to figure it out as you go. I won’t be teaching you specific software. Art direction is about thinking conceptually and figuring out the execution whether or not you know how.

  • Then LFG! A lot of art directors struggle with insights & big ideas. Let’s get you to the next level! I think this will still be worthwhile.

  • No. But if you show up to everything and put in the work, and still didn’t get any value from the experience, I’ll give you your money back.

  • Yes, all prices are in USD. I completely understand that currency conversions to other countries might not make this program accessible to everyone. I designed it to provide a more accessible program than what is available in the US market specifically. But I do my best to share as much free content as possible. Do not feel obligated to purchase the program. Feel free to follow learn from my content on YouTube and Instagram.
